In Austin, there is a small scenic view on Capital Of Texas Highway (Highway 360) that often goes overlooked by many. Maybe people get lost in thought during the madness of slow moving traffic. Sometimes, people just miss it because they’re traveling too fast.

In my case, I missed the scenic view for years, even though I knew exactly where it was. I kept driving by it, and every time I told myself that I would stop the following the day to enjoy it. Well, after four long years of driving by this point, I finally stopped there.

Had I stayed in traffic, I would probably have gotten home just a few minutes earlier, but without the satisfaction of knowing that today I went to a new place I had never been. Sometimes you just have to slow down and take it easy.

Here is a GPS pin drop to the scenic view. Take the time explore new things every day. Regardless of how small.
