There are plenty of coffee shops in Austin, Texas. However, Epoch Coffee on North Loop Blvd is my to-go-to coffee shop for several reasons. Starting with the best reason, which is that this store is open 24/7. Whether it’s 2 A.M., or 1 P.M., this shop will welcome you kindly.
Truth be told, I am not fully familiar with all of the items that are sold here. Though I do know they have mostly pastries and a few light breakfast items. However, I only get coffee here. At Epoch, you will always find at least two or three different types of blends, not to mention different types of drinks. From regular hot coffee to delicious cold brews.
Besides the coffee, the atmosphere at Epoch is what sets them apart from other shops. For one, this place is open 24/7. That by itself makes it a great place to hang out with friends or simply spend some time doing work or homework. In fact, as I write this, I’m sitting here just enjoying a cup of black coffee.
One thing to keep in mind is that this place is actually well known among locals and college students. More than often, in the evenings, this place fills up and it’s hard to find a place to sit. Not to mention that Epoch shares a parking lot with a few other businesses in the plaza, so finding parking spots in the evenings can become a somewhat difficult task.
Epoch Coffee has been on top of my list of coffee shops in the ATX area for several years. While they have two other locations (Epoch on W. Anderson, and Epoch on Far West Blvd), this one is still the best one due to the fact that is always open, and because of its location. Not only that but on North Loop location, you’re also allowed to bring your fur-baby! (leashed). And just in case you were curious, there is also a patio where smoking is allowed, and smaller outside section where smoking isn’t. Thus giving everyone an area to enjoy.
And while there are plenty of things I can say about this place, the one thing that I do not like is that you’re not allowed to eat outside food in here, despite their selection of edible items being small.
